# Sense & Sensibility — runtime architecture

## 1. Canonical corpus
Project Gutenberg #161, source update 16 March 2021. The frozen HTML snapshot and normalized literary text have distinct SHA-256 identities in the manifest. Other editions, adaptations, biography, criticism, external historical context, and model memory are excluded.

## 2. Prepared corpus
SAS-PC-0.3 preserves all 50 chapter IDs and adds 1,808 exact-text paragraph IDs. The 56 relationships and ten vocabulary controls remain available. Chapter summaries are derivative navigation aids; they do not replace the text and are not sufficient evidence for quotations. The original v0.2 preparation remains in source history. Known chapter and locator errors have been corrected; human semantic review remains pending.

## 3. Novel Projection Blueprint
NOVEL-PB-0.1 resolves all ten governance domains. The reader inspects the scope, source selection, and pre-editorial scaffold, then accepts the projection. A question may narrow the selected reading position; it cannot silently increase it. Source selection happens after disclosure filtering. No unadmitted external material or new fictional content is authorized.

## 4. Editorial guidance and production
AUSTEN-0.2 is applied under the owner’s request for this draft. Composition uses selected source paragraphs only. Every substantive answer block carries an epistemic label and verbatim evidence. Structural checks reject unselected IDs, misquoted evidence, excessive length, and malformed answers. A separate model review checks grounding, reader and character knowledge, tone, ambiguity and form. Failure holds the output without revealing the rejected content. Automated review is not a guarantee or human verification.

## Trace and identity
The output record includes the accepted projection, original question, amendments, ten resolved domains, scaffold, selected and used units, evidence excerpts, source hashes, edition/corpus/editorial/blueprint/runtime identities, output ID/version/time, model identity, and the status of each automated check. The reader may export the complete ephemeral record. Generated output never modifies the frozen source or becomes canon.

## Publication boundary
This is an unpublished draft. Live generative acceptance remains pending until the Site’s server-side model credential is connected and the acceptance suite is run. No human verification claim is made.
